British vs American English

America is a huge country, we have many dialects.
I live in the South. Because I am originally from California, I do not carry a Southern accent, but many of my peers do.
They use a very.. limited vocabulary. Some of the words they use as vocal fillers, or just to add some southern drawl to their sentences are:
yall
dadgum
dang
goin'
go to hell in a hand basket
goteem' (pronounced "got - eeem"
Bless his/her heart
heavens to betsy
goodness
well, I’ll be
thingamajigger
hog wild
slap you silly
hotter than hell
up and at ’em
(throwing) a hissy fit
hush up (because "shut up" is too politically incorrect, evidently)
yert (idk wtf this word is from, but it means "hey")
you ain’t right
little miss priss
dingus
I reckon
Fixin's (talking about food)

These are about all I can think of for now, but that about sums up the South's vocabulary
(by the way, I didn't google these, they are all from my experience living in Nashville for 11 years)
