British vs American English - Himalaya Eater - 04-29-2015

So do you spell words in American or British English? I mostly use American spelling but I guess sometimes British spelling.

I'll write both spelling down and you copy and write the way you spell it.

1. Gray or grey?
2. Meter or metre?
3. Chips or crisps?
4. Realize or realise?
5. Color or colour?
6. Catalog or catalogue?
7. Favor or favour?
8. Spelled or spelt (past tense of spell)?
9. Diarrhea or diarrhoea?

You can provide more examples if you want.

I use all of the ones on the right.

We also use both of these in Britain, but mean different things:

Meter = a device that measures and records the quantity, degree, or rate of something.
Metre = a unit equivalent to 100 cm or approximately 39.37 inches.

Chips = a long rectangular piece of deep-fried potato.
Crisps = wafer-thin bits of potato fried or baked until crisp.

Also, diarrhoea.

British English... since I am from well... England.

Also, spelled and spelt are interchangeable in any form of English.
