Could you guys check if you still have problems with joining? We perm'd a hacker, that caused it.

Try to load the RP_EvoCity_v2d map first in singleplayer and than join server.

Load map in singleplayer manually helped me. Work on first time

Yes. Problem persists. Or rather, it was working fine for around six hours, but upon trying to rejoin I get the familiar 'HL2 has crashed'
Clearing the cache occasionally helps.
Trying to play the server by loading up the evocity map gets me into the server, but also breaks the gamemode.

I can't get on either, it's really frustrating, tried loading evo map up before going into game, no luck

Grr, now I have this problem myself too!
But again, I'm able to join by first loading the map in singleplayer and then join the server.

I cannot join at all without first loading the map up in single player.
It's annoying because the whole process takes about 10 minutes because of how slow my Garrysmod is -_-
