Miss EvoCity Returns!

On 24 February, it was announced that the long-running "Miss EvoCity" franchise would return after a 2-year hiatus. The beloved format is set to return at the MTL premises on 20 March. The show involves 6 contestants giving it their all in beauty walks, performances, and questioning from the judges in order to be crowned as Miss EvoCity and walk away with $1,000,000.

The question on everybody's minds is will this revival hold up as good as the previous ones? All signs point towards yes as the event's reputation precedes itself greatly, not to mention that Krissy Blake is still involved with the project despite passing on the format to new showrunners. Speaking to Veritas News, Krissy Blake stated that "I am delighted my dear friend Joseph [Deacon] is continuing the franchise", she also went onto say "I will be making an appearance to support Joseph [Deacon] and all the contestants". She is set to be hosting alongside Richard Bones on the night of the event.

The night will be overseen by Vantiago's Harry Falcon, alongside 3 yet-to-be-revealed celebrity judges. The current line-up of contestants includes Amy Rothschild, Tanya Leonhardt, and distinguished celebrity Jessica Summers herself. While we don't know how Miss EvoCity 2021 will pan out or who will be victorious, one thing is for certain: it will be a night of intense talent, drama, and fun for all.

Shake-up at Estleback

On 15 February 2021, Estleback Corporation entered into a new era of change and progression, kickstarted by the sudden departure of Sam Davis, who was the Deputy Director of the organisation. In his resignation notice, Mr Davis stated that "I wish Mr Grayson and all the employees at Estleback Corporation the best of luck" and that "they have been amazing to have as a team and always made my job enjoyable". Davis continued, announcing that "it's time to leave the corporation in good hands and focus on my career outside Estleback". Director Noah Grayson responded to the news of Davis' leave with  "Thank you for everything you've done and for the framework you have left for the organisation".

After a short swirl of speculation regarding his future ventures, it was announced by Vantiago Incorporated that Sam Davis would be under their employ as both a member of their Committee for Internal Company Affairs (CICA) and as a Regional Manager with a focus on developing "Vanguard Worldwide", what comes of this is yet to be seen. What has been seen, however, is how Estleback handled such an abrupt change in their structure.

Estleback Corporation has been on a major recruitment drive in the last week, and has taken on several new Applicants and Field Operatives; allowing the corporation to boost its influence and specialise in areas of interest. This is all being overseen by the new Director of Development for the clan, James Fegan, who will further develop and modernise the company.

In addition to this, Louis Blackman has been elevated to the position of Deputy Director, this is after loyally serving as the organisation's Chief Field Operative. This is after "working his way up the chain of command for awhile now", as the Estleback news briefing proclaimed. He is expected to "help lead the organisation to even greater heights". Such a rapid response to such a sudden move showcases that Estleback is still very a force to be reckoned with, and that maybe the organisation's best days do lie ahead.

SRN: A Group in Crisis

It has been one tumultuous fortnight for SRN Group, both externally and internally. It could be said that the company came off the dizzying heights of its own delusions as reality had hit it hard with their reputation completely muddied, their employees mostly unsatisfied, and their CEO having almost destroyed the business. Unfortunately though, this saga has been dragged out way longer than it needs to be.

Spoiler :

SRN has tried several different approaches over the last 2 weeks to try and regain some form of status. The first approach was to open up a HQ on 17 February, while a board meeting was held it was not without it's drawbacks as two employees of SRN were arrested for assaulting police officers. 18 February saw another attempt to rekindle some self-respect as the "First SRN Article" was released, which the less said about it, the better. 2 days after this, "In the Loop" was launched to heavy criticism due to it falsely claiming to be "San Renevo's [sic] biggest news channel", poor grammar, a cheesy format, and the controversial picturing of a dead man on its front cover.

Spoiler :

While a sponsorship contract with the SRFD was signed around this time, it did not do much in terms of building up much confidence in SRN's leadership, and not long afterwards, the CEO of SRN displayed his inner mental instability by announcing his resignation as the group's CEO, before quickly going back on his word. Opinions continued to worsen as Mike Pence tried to bully John Flint, his former private secretary, into returning money despite the lack of a contract. The case was thrown out of the San Ranevo court circuit. This has shaken any and all confidence in the organisation and bets are already being placed for when it will finally collapse.

We spoke with an anonymous source within SRN Group who claimed that Mike Pence's brief resignation was "merely a publicity stunt" and that Mr Pence remained "a very loose cannon".

At this point, the future of SRN Group is in crisis as it cannot properly define itself with such erratic decisions being made it the top. As one famous quote goes: "Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results".
