Greetings, Fearless!

We're glad to finally be able to bring to you a brand new method of money-making in the form of Farming & Agriculture! This new update will allow you to grow a variety of vegetables and sell the produce on for a profit!

Farming & Agriculture takes place inside farm plots. As a beginner, you can have up to 5 farm plots placed down at a time, each being able to hold a maximum of 5 plants.

Farm plots are purchased from the Market in the new Agriculture section, along with the majority of the other new items related to farming. You can pick up your farm plots with Alt+E and reuse them again next time you want to do farming.

In order to be able to start farming in your plots, they require 3 important things:

Soil
This can be purchased from the Market in bags and must be placed in each plot before anything else. Once used, you don't have to refill it unless you pick up and replace the plot.

Plant Feed
This can be purchased from the Market, or can be less expensively crafted with the Plant Feed Schematic using Fertilizer (bought from Market) and Nutrients (obtained from the Composter, see below). You must have used Plant Feed on your plot before you are able to plant anything and it will need to be topped up periodically as you farm.

Water
The Watering Can can be purchased from the Market and has infinite uses. Your plot will need to have water in it before you can begin planting seeds and the water will need to be continually topped up in each of your plots due to the water being consumed as you harvest your plants.

Once your farm plots are set up, you need to plant some vegetables in them! In the Agriculture section of the Market, you will find various vegetable plants. There are 12 options to choose from and they are broken up into rarity categories. They are as follows:

Common - Beetroot, Cabbage, Potato
Uncommon - Lettuce, Cauliflower, Turnip
Rare - Aubergine, Squash, Watermelon
Very Rare - Tomato, Pumpkin
Ultra Rare - Dragonfruit

As a beginner, only the Common tier plants are available to purchase from the Market. All of the others may be obtained at random via Mystery Plant Bags which are gained through using the Composter (see below).

As you progress through Farming, you can unlock the ability to purchase Uncommon & Rare plants from the Market once you gain a lot more experience.

Once you've purchased your plants, all you have to do is place them in your plot and wait for them to grow! Growth times vary depending on the rarity of the plant in question.

Once they are fully grown, they will be harvestable by pressing E on them, which will reward you with a varying amount of the relevant vegetable. Don't forget to harvest your plants, because after 15 minutes of being in the fully grown state without being harvested, your plants will decay and you will not get any produce from them!

Once fully grown, you can harvest the vegatables from your plants. You can either eat them or sell them to the Tradesman NPC, Norman Brownlee, in exchange for varying cash rewards, depending on the rarity of the vegetable in question.

Some vegetables have special features that mean you might not necessarily want to sell them. Here's a graphic showing the details of all of the new food items gained through farming:

Every time you harvest vegetables from your farm plots, you will also receive a small amount of a very useful by-product which is plant waste. This Plant Waste can be dumped into your Composter (bought from the Market) and once the composting process is complete, you will be able to collect 2 things from it. These are:

Mystery Plant Bags
These are a fundamental part of the overall farming process. They are your key to potentially obtaining some of the rarest plants, allowing you to earn some bigger cash rewards! Every time you open a Mystery Plant Bag, you will receive one of the 12 possible plants. There is a higher chance of receiving the Common ones and a smaller chance of you receiving the Ultra Rare ones! Whatever plants you get, you can plant them back in your farm plot and start the process again!

Unfortunately, you won't receive enough of these mystery bags to completely sustain your farming process, so you'll have to keep filling the rest of your available slots with Common plants from the Market.

Plant Nutrients
These are used to craft Plant Feed along with Fertilizer. It's a more cost effective way of keeping your plots full of plant feed as it's recycling your old plant waste into something useful.

You'll be pleased to hear that your progress in farming will be tracked and fully available for you to see whenever you want. Holding E on your farm plot or typing "/farming" will open your Farming & Agriculture Menu. Here you will be able to see your Total Successful Harvests, which is an ongoing, all-time tally of how many times you have successfully harvested a plant.

Displayed below that, there are also a number of unlockable aesthetic items, vehicles and useful farming unlocks which you can achieve through reaching certain milestones within Farming & Agriculture!

More details to come soon in terms of trackable statistics in farming and in other areas of the game!

As promised, we are switching back to our custom Fearless map, San Ranevo. We felt that this map would work very well with the farming update due to it's abundance of rural areas and farms. Enjoy!

Remember to get the map and its content below!
