So I like a lot of songs written by people or about people who have later turned out to be nonces, is this wrong or would this stop you from listening to them? Discuss the ethics of listening to good music that has been tainted by the bad reputation of the singer.

No, it's totally not, how people write music is very different to how they are. Gary Glitter had a lot of help from famous producers, session musicians and song writers with his songs, so he didn't write the whole song. It's a catchy song that's probs why you like it!
