Tax cooldown

Title: Tax cooldown

Suggestion: In the change of Tax there should be a cooldown of 5 - 10 minutes (?) due to the fact that when tax is above 20%, gangs get ready to raid and by the time they get to Nexus Tax is decreased and from there it gets messy. The President and Vice would also share a cooldown, since when a change of tax is implemented they should decide together. Also stop the abuse of this cooldown.

Many thanks, Dob.

-support Too many minge VPs set it to 40% then leave or get demoted, otherwise this would be a great suggestion as the government can't just keep changing it every few seconds in real life

This could get solved if there was something added that the president had to approve the taxes increase/decrease. With something like if the VP tries to increase the taxes a message would pop up for the president were, he would have to do /approve. Non the less

The issue with a shared cooldown would be if the VP set tax to 40% with the intention of getting the president raided. I think the president should be able to revert it in such case, as the VP would most likely be demoted as well.

You could just remove the cooldown if one of them resigns/ get demoted.

IMO vp shouldn't be able to set tax

Therefore if this were to be implemented it could create more roleplay opportunities and you will have to face the consequences IC. e.g. demoting the Vice, making broadcasts stating tax will be lowered. People can protest during this time etc.

Remember even if a president were to set tax to 40%, he should necessarily be executed. Especially if he has proven to be a good, democratic leader before tax was 40%. If he was a dictator previously, then by all means kill him. Violence should always be the last option and I know every president would hate it if they were to be straight up killed when the situation can be resolved as passively as possible with as much roleplay as possible.

All of this from just a 10-minute tax cooldown timer.
Kind Regards,

You shouldn't be instantly raiding due to 40% tax anyway. The president should be able to set the tax whenever he wants. If he sets it down before you raid then that means you win, as the tax is no longer above 20%. You don't have to kill him.

You make no sense what so ever. Most of the time he will set it lower just so you don't raid at that very moment and then raise it again. Many presidents pretty much abuse the tax feature just to piss off people.
