In the teacher team, I think its safe to say that we wish for everyone to have an enjoyable and satisfactory roleplay experience within the server. We hope that all aspects of CityRP can be explored whether its being a Shop-Keeper or a Drug Dealer, that a level of roleplay is kept within the server.
I believe that it is great to see the odd roleplay every now and then, however it'd be even better if we could get different kinds of roleplays going more frequently regardless if they are passive or aggressive. Currently, there seems to be this idea that once a roleplay is done, it can never be done again, however this is not the case. Although you may feel that seeing the same store being roleplayed day after day is boring, or that there is no roleplay element to farming pots or contraband, there are many ways in which these roleplays could be switched up a little bit.
It is often insinuated that roleplay is completely lost on the server and it never happens, however in order to change this, as a community, we need to work together and go that extra mile. Do more /me and /it, and I'm not saying that "/me breathes in" and "/me breathes out" is what we should be doing, but every now and then, go into another players' resturaunts or join in on their roleplay, showing them that they have your support and that you approve the hard work they're putting into the roleplay. Perhaps take a step into the unknown, if you're normally a passive roleplayer, try playing as a Police Officer, or if you normally base in Slums and contrafarm, set up a shop or resturaunt. Even if you step out of your circle of friends and perhaps roleplay with someone you haven't really interacted with before.
Finally, the community may have been great back in 2012, or 2013, a time where it was "at its best" but if you feel so strongly that the community isn't what it was, play your part and change that, I understand that we might not have the same players as we did then, but we have new players, and its time to move on and interact with the new people, not just with those who you have been friends with for the last 5-6 years. I cannot guarantee that by me writing this, the community will suddenly change, but as long as one player who is reading this does take that step or go that extra mile, hopefully it will relight the flame. Perhaps that person is you.
