My garrys mod is refusing to start. its been doing this for some time now, at first a asumed it was somthing wrong with steam and that it would fix itself but nothing. i deleted all local content and reinstalled. no change. whats happening is that i go to launch gmod, the prepering to launch garrys mod window opens and then nothing. If I hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and went to Processes I can see its running but nothing happends.

HELP!!!

Have you tryed to run as BETA
Or try reopen your steam
I also had a problem that i couldnt open garry's mod i did reopen my steam and it did work Smile

I have exactly same problems!
Its been since friday, Ive tried following things,
-Restarting steam (ofc)
-Deleting Registry.blop thingys
-reinstalling steam
-reinstalling Gmod
-Changed download region many times
-verify files
-turning off firewall and letting all those thru it
Nothing seem to help...

Got the same issue, Tried Renaming didn't work... Any other ideas guys?

Try that.

No luck

renamed the folders, nothing happens.
Reinstalled gmod 3 times + clearing all addons, nothing happens.
