As I stated earlier-I made this thread hoping a suicidal person with mental illness here on FL will socialise and not commit suicide.
Is a life worth less than a forum warning or shitpost?

Have I helped you or am I friendly?

Not really a mental illness but when I was little I used to be a massive germophobe.

In Britain we have something called the 'Giraffe Lady' who visited primary schools now and again and would inform the students about different things in life such as germs, alcohol and other stuff. Well on one of her demonstrations she talked about the danger of germs and it for some reason or another it made me really scared of germs, to the point where I wouldn't touch anything and if I were to touch something I'd have to instantly wash my hands thoroughly (I believe that it was at the point where I wasn't living with my family, so perhaps that was a contributing factor to why I was so afraid of germs.) and so this resulted in me having extremely dry and painful hands, they were sore most days.

After a while my parents finally became concerned and sent me to a therapist and I talked about why I hated germs so much, I can't really remember much but I remember being so scared about going back to the therapist that I ended up forcing myself not to be a germophobe anymore.

Stop being complete *****. I feel for you Shooter, and anyone else that has illnesses like that.

Here are the 25 quotes I have on my bedroom wall which keep motivated (which I hope help you):

1. Talent is given, greatness is earned.

2. Don’t let someone else’s opinion of you become your reality.

3. Listen, smile, agree and then do whatever you were going to do anyway.

4. Never let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life.

5. The person who says something is impossible should not interrupt the person who is doing it.

6. It is never too late to be what you might have been.

7. Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.

8. If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.

9. The higher you climb the better the view.

10. With patience you can even cook a stone. (One of the best quotes to live by)

11. Don’t tell me the sky’s the limit when there’s footprints on the moon.

12. Life is not measured by the amount of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

13. It’s important to make someone happy, and it’s important to start with yourself.

14. If you settle for just anything, you’ll never know what you’re truly worthy of.

15. In life, you get what you put in. Everything comes back around.

16. Death is not the greatest loss in life; the greatest loss is what dies inside while you’re still alive.

17. If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.

18. Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain. – Vivian Greene

19. I know where I’m going and I know the truth, and I don’t have to be what you want me to be. I’m free to be what I want.

20. Dream as you will live forever, live as you will die today.

21. If you want something you’ve never had then you you’ve got to do something you’ve never done.

22. Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve. – Napoleon Hill

23. Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen. – Michael Jordan

24. Life is a stage and you get only one performance. Make it a good one.

25. As long as you’re going to be thinking anyway, THINK BIG.

Sharpshooter, I am not going to flame at you, nor am I going to insult you. But I will advise you.

Close this thread.

It is said that intervention can help someone, but this is by a loved one or a professional. You are neither of those things to many in this community.

Whether it be for attention or genuine car, I strongly recommend you let this go no further. Things may not hurt you, but they can hurt other.

Those who post here and say 'I have ADHD' or 'I have OCD' may feel they can talk to you, yet others will pick up on it. And what will happen when they do?

You cannot stop those people from being hurt, but you have lead them into a false sense of security that has hurt them in the end.

This all seems like a young man who is in over his head. There are professionals for a reason. I advice if you care, you leave a respectful link and close this down.

You may do more harm than good, and therefore it is better to do nothing at all, but direct them to a better future helped along by the professionals.

For everyone else, here are some helpful links to trained professionals whom may help you get through any struggle:

I'm getting crippling depression because of threads like this. Also hoping you'll find a suicidal person on here? What the actual fuck. Even if you want to help them, why the fuck would you hope for a suicidal person. Smh
