Meta / Awaiting Update A guide to the Mechanic Job
#1
So you want to be a mechanic?
It's not an easy job, but it does pay well. Here's how...
Contents
1. How to join the mechanic job
2. Getting Started
3. Getting Access
4. Fixing Vehicles
5. Customising Vehicles

1.1 - How to join the Mechanic job.
To join the Mechanic Job you need to do the following:
Click F1 > Characters.
As you can see in the picture below you must click 'join'.

2.1 - Getting Started
You will see that you have spawned near a garage called 'MTL'. That is your 'recommended' workspace. See picture below.

2.2 - Getting Started - Furnishing your workspace
If you are going to do a proper RP, by yourself (or create a business but  I'll come to that later) you are going to need to decorate your Garage. Here are some ideas.
See pictures below

2.3 - Getting Started - Starting a Mechanic Business
So you want to take it to the next level and establish a business. So you will probably need a secretary to advertise and take calls. You may want to recruit a second mechanic, which you may or may not instruct to do call-out.

3.1 - Getting Access
So you have your first customer? Before you can do anything you need access, so instruct the client to press F2 and double click on your Steam Username, this will give you access.

4.1 - Fixing a Vehicle
To fix a vehicle you simply scroll down until you reach your wrench.
Next, you Left Click on the Car. Done. oh and you get 500$ for that, but you can always charge on top of that.

5.1 - Customizing a Vehicle
Just like fixing a vehicle you simply scroll down to the wrench but this time you right click on the car, it should bring up a customization menu where you select the color or upgrades you want.

That is pretty much it, if you know anything else please post it on here!
(Pictures will be added when steam is up again, due to the DDoS attack)

ELAD the Elf, this seems like the wrong place to be posting a guide my friend.

I recommend you move this guide to here: http://www.fearlessrp.net/forumdisplay.php?fid=61

This is a sub-forum dedicated to roleplay guides just like yours.

Im sure any players wishing to become a Mechanic would look there first, and so it is best you go where it seems most fitting.

Good luck with the guide, it looks very impressive so far.
