Standard Patrol Unit
The standard patrol unit and the backbone of ECToungeD. The standard patrol unit covers a wide range of day to day tasks including the following:
  • Responding to calls outs.
  • Performing traffic stops.
  • Attending accidents.
  • Assisting officers of other departments with enquiries.
  • Tying up cases.
  • Interacting with the community.
A standard day to day for the Patrol Unit may look like the following:

  1. 09:00: Come on shift and have a roll call detailing and assigning your departments tasks for the day.
  2. 10:00: After gearing up, head out to deal with any of your assigned tasks. Perhaps just a short patrol.
  3. 15:00: Head back to the PD and begin filing and reports or paperwork for the shift.
  4. 15:30: Have a debrief ready for the next shift.
Some of the equipment Patrol is equipped with are:
  • USP-45 
  • ASP Baton
  • Handcuffs
  • X26 Tazer
  • A standard issue marked CVPI in 'Metro' livery.
Patrol officers also carry a supply of equipment inside of the Crown Vics'.
  • Traffic Cones
  • CPR Kit
  • Road flares
  • First aid kit

K-9 Unit

Tactical Robbery Unit
The Tactical Robbery Unit deals with violent crimes and all forms of robbery. They are typically subdued in terms of uniform and driving unmarked CVPIs. They cover:
  • Robberies
  • Armed Robberies
  • Carjacking
  • High Value Target Apprehension
A standard day for the TRU may be the following:

  1. 09:00: Check into the office and pick up your assignments for the day.
  2. 10:00: After gearing up head out on patrol to assist US Marshals in apprehension of a wanted felon.
  3. 11:00: Suspect detained, handed over to the U.S Marshals, back on patrol.
  4. 12:00: Call comes in of robbery at gunpoint. BOLO for a Black BMW.
  5. 16:00: No sighting of the Black BMW, back to PD.
  6. 16:30: Debrief, end of shift.
Some of the equipment the TRU carries are:

  • USP 45
  • MP5 or M4
  • Handcuffs
  • X26 Tazer
  • Unmarked CVPI
The TRU can also carry a variety of objects in the back of their vehicle.
  • Breaches for warranted suspects.
  • Marksman rifles.
  • Large first aid kit.
