Can't connect

Even though I have the map it says (missing map disconnecting) I've been trying to solve this problem I even redownloaded the map as you suggested. It's in the maps folder as a folder but still it says missing map disconnecting. If you could help me that would be great. Thanks. (and yes I uninstalled and reinstalled the game)

Which map were you trying to connect to?

Also i recommend you download the maps directly from this page

Finally make sure you take the file from the folder into the map folder. not just place the folder in the map folder

I tried and it worked perfectly but now it caused a new problem I cant join the game crashed. At the exact place every single time its says dowloading/graphics than my gmod crashes

Try Validating Gmod cache. If this does not work perhaps try deleting the old map and replace with the new one so only one version of the map exhists in the folder. If this still does not work then set launch options to
-autoconfig
If that still does not work then upload your crash logs to
http://dumps.metastruct.uk.to/
and paste the results i, or someone else will be able to pin point the precise problem

I did everything you told me to do and I can open the map in single player butr when I try to join the server it says missing map. (sorry to bother you again :3)

Perhaps you could screen print your folder so i can see it and see what the story is like inside your map folder
By pretty much taking a screenshot of your Map folder
An image will suffice.

Hmm, well that's pretty much what i have but, it may seem like a long shot but try renaming the file to

rp_evocity_v4b1

Without the caps or the "(1)" I don't know if it will work but it's worth a try, also i know i already mentioned this but the place i downloaded the map was from  this thread

and not from the steam workshop. Incase you also installed a steam workshop version, unsubscribe from that version.


If non of that works then perhaps we need to start from scratch again by downloading everything.
