I honestly don't know the issue with this. Here
1) Not getting shot? The whole car transfers damage to itself and you, so not so true.
2) I wouldn't mind a storage system
3) MPG system = realistic
4) Cars are one of the major economy factors in game, with it being some of the most expensive items in game, it'd be worth adding some good features for them.

I'm not saying we should have this ASAP though and honestly should be the last thing on the list.
