I'm afraid that it'll tell me to use product key.. but I don't know where mine is and all the attempts to get it I just get "BBB-BBB-BBB-BBB". What am I supposed to do?

If you are upgrading from Vista or XP, that is the reason why you are being asked to input the code. Those OS are not supported by this free update.
