So for no apparent reason, when i press f12 to take screenshots (yes, that is definatly the right button), it wont work.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt. It seems that when i actually NEED a screenshot, the thing won't work.

any ideas on what i can do about this?

change the key that does screenshots? mine is F5

have you got a laptop because you need to press and hold Fn and then press F10

Read this carefully, guys. If it at least works, it's not something to do with the key. Judging by personal experiences, I'm pretty sure it's something to do with Steam. Not sure what exactly though, I'm afraid.

no sir, i have a desktop

like i said, half of the time it works, half of the time it doesnt. i suspect it has something to do with how the steam in-game panel loads up, but i dunno what to do about it
