hl2 error

so basically my gmod crashes every time I try to load the game with a hl2 error and takes me back to desktop. I am not joining servers or anything. don't feel like reading support on steam or anything hoping you guys might know. I have tried cache and reinstalling and neither worked.

on phone so no grammar really. any ideas?

Can you please click on "File Explorer" Right click on Computer and then click Manage, click Logbook open the Windows Logbook arrow and click application. Then you open up Gmod and when it crashes you would see 'Error" or warning, sometimes Information (If it doesn't re-click applications) just click on it and you see a little space with the error code. Reply here making a spoiler and put the full code inside.

Also, have you done anything before the HL2 error came up? Such as re installing etc.

Will be benefitial If you remove any and all workshop add-ons you may have. Go to the workshop and click on "my workshop", or something along the lines on the right side of the screen.
If you have a lot, they may be incompatible .
