Secret Service & Suits
#1
It came to my attention yesterday, that when i was president my SS got demoted for wearing suits. Now i always thought you could for a good RP reason... But according to a certain admin its always been a rule. Many of us asked were in the rules is it? But it is NOT stated there.

Just would like to know, Are Secret Service Agents allowed to wear a suit for a Good RP Reason.
I have 3 RPP.
If I have helped you in anyway, Give me rep here

It has come to my attention, that most people who take Special Services classes don't know squat about RPing it. So from now on, I'm going to force SSA's to RP their position properly, otherwise risk landing on the blacklist.

Step 1:
Change your job to Special Services Agent or Head of Special Services

Step 2:
Reload all your weapons, select your rifle and lower it. Special units carry heavy weaponry and their power is also psychological - their serious gear and weapons show people that they mean business.

Step 3:
Report in using your radio, request orders from Head of SS or President. If no orders, then you DO NOT GO WANDERING THE STREETS. Secure and stay in Nexus and wait for presidential orders or backup requests from police. In real life, you don't see SWAT, SAS and other similar units walking around enjoying the damn weather if they don't have squat to do. Find this boring? Then change your class or go play Counter-Strike.

IF YOU'RE ACTUALLY CALLED TO DUTY:
Keep in mind that you're still enforcing the law, thus you have to follow the policing procedure, available in my Basic Police RP Guide. Ah hell with that, I'll just quote.
Quote:POLICING PROCEDURE:

Unarmed violator: If the violation is light, you can simply warn him. If he continues - KO him. If he still won't obey - get an arrest warrant.

Armed violator
: Pull out your weapon, keep him in your sights and YELL commands, such as "POLICE! GET DOWN ON THE GROUND! DO IT!" I suggest making a bind for that. If the violator aims his weapon at you or fires it, you're clear to shoot him.

Escaping violator:
Keep this in mind: hot pursuits are very rare in the real world. Most police institutions in the world have a simple policy for the high speed runaway drivers: Try to follow, but keep a safe distance and speed - we will get him sooner or later. You will get retards driving sports-cars whining in OOC that you should get in pursuit (so they could play tag with you, waste everyone's time and CDM a few people while they're at it.)
If the violator is making an escape and he's getting away - you're too far behind to catch up, then you can warn him by saying some thing like "POLICE! STOP OR I WILL SHOOT!" (make a bind of that,) fire a warning shot and if he still doesn't react - shoot him. This should be used as a last resort, because just like in real life - police shootings are looked into to avoid trigger-happy maniacs abusing their position.
Only difference is that when Special Services get called in, they make arrests or kill-shots, you're not dealing with under-aged drinking or minor speeding offenses. This means you have great responsibility and since I really love the Special Services class I can assure you I will be a pain in your ass if you FailRP it.

Ive never seen sucha policy ever enforced by the staff, during my time with them or even after my demotion, the only time was last night by Ruxandra.

The only time ive seen it done was by a president, due to the fact he wanted to prevent friendly fire inccidents, or prevent impersination, or just because he wants his SS looking all badass in their gear

Not at all cookie, its just stateing that SS units should be ready for any situation, there is no rule that states that the SS cannot wear a suit, whether on their own accord or if the president wishes them to wear one to look less threatening.

Not all presidents want their guards/SWAT to inspire fear like a jackboot stomping on your throat, some perfer to look professional and modern and not like your standard Dictator we see all to often

Still don't see the words saying 'don't wear suits.'

The look comes standard so that you may perform high-key overt. However, if you are a people-friendly president you'd want to do low-key overt to make yourself seem more open to the public.

IMO: I see absolutely nothing wrong with wearing a suit as a Special Service as long as the president isn't saying no to it.

Special Service, not Secret Service.

The Special Service Agent's job is to respond to heavy backup calls and armed responses, not to protect the president or remain by his side; for this he can hire a bodyguard or two.

I honestly never saw a fast response unit officer with a party dress or a fancy suit.
