Your poll is fallacious, now that I notice it. It goes 12-14, 14-16, 16-18 etc. It should go 12-13, 14-15, 16-17 etc. Otherwise you get incorrect results. People who are 16 could be voting on either 14-16 or 16-18, resulting in hard-to-analyse results.

I believe they are answering correctly for 2 reasons: 1. It seemed pretty straightforward to me, if you are 13 years old 11 months and 29 days, you are in the 12-14 section, the second you turn 14 you are in the 14-16. 2. People ( I dislike using the world children, since I'm only a bit older than the average), especially males at that period wish to be older, appear older, act older (psychologically proven fact), which means that if they're 14 they will most likely answer in the 14-16 area.

Apart from all the flattery, Dylan has brought up a brilliant point. It's actually related to the statistics section I am currently studying in Mathematics.

He's right though, you technically shouldn't have 12-14, 14-16. Either change the boundaries to 12-13, 14-15 or make it work like this:

Age = x
12 ≤ x < 14
14 ≤ x < 16

or

12 < x ≤ 14
14 < x ≤ 16

I have chosen these two as examples, the pattern of the class boundaries must be the same throughout.
