No! Not torrenting fraps! Its 100% legal. Don't worry about that. The program is called MSI Afterburner. If you already know what it is, its a video card performance booster but it ALSO is a GREAT recording device. In my opinion, it looks better than fraps and takes less space.
100% virus free.

Download it and, unzip both files. (I did the bigger file first.)
The MSI Kombuster 2.3 isn't what you need for recording but still need it.
What you need is the smaller zipped file. Unzip it. (Install it, blah blah blah.)
Alright! Now the harder part. Open MSI Afterburner.
You will (Should) see 5 adjuster levers.
Look at the near the bottom of it and you will see a settings button. (Next to Reset.)
Look for the tab that says "Video capture". (Next to screen capture. You have to use the arrows on the far right on top of the tabs to see it.)
Make a video Capture key.
Leave the video format, the 85% quality. Change that Frame Size to Full Frame.
Leave the framerate at 30 and don't change the Framerate limit. (Change the videos folder if you feel needed. I made a new folder for easy access.)
Don't change anything in the Video Capture Compatibility Properties.
The audio: Enable audio Capture and Downmix multichannel.
Leave the audio source type at auto select.
I have my opinion, you have yours. I think that this recorder is better than fraps and is free (Legally.)
I did find one problem with this! Its easy to fix though. If you plan on using it for Garry's mod only, then open consle and type voice_loopback 1. If you want to use it for other games... You need to right click on the volume control and click on recording devices. Microphone<properties<listen. Then click the listen button.
