Here’s a funny one. As some of you know i’m 16… and will be turning 17 at the end of the year. is there any suggestions as to what car i should buy for my first. i’ve looked at my personal favourite the Volkswagen Polo. however, i’ve also looked at the ford fiestas. Any recommendations and why you’d say go for it?

depends on the environment, Wv Polo is a classic first timer car. Spend some extra cash and buy a sedan. For the girls

As some has already said, the Polo is a good choice for a first car as it's generally cheap to keep on the road. Have a look at Toyota too, you could probably buy a 20 year old Toyota and drive it for another 20 without any problems lol

For the first few years of driving, assuming you're in the UK get cars that are in either group 1 or group 2 of the insurance categories... anything else then you might as well just burn your money now. Build up your no-claims for a couple of years then look to upgrade.
