Well half of the casinos are also ran by under 18 year olds too so I am pretty sure its not completely fine BobZ
Yes, they are, in a roleplay server. Once again there is absolutely no way of cashing-out the ingame money, so it is perfectly legal, btw having to pull the BobZ card shows that you have no more points. the roleplay server is operated by fearless which is a registered charity not a gambling house - it does not have a licence. There is a way of cashing money out - you sell ingame money (credit) for legal tender via paypal/bank transfer, etc.. It is irrelevent weather it is against TOS to do so. It just shouldn’t be happening.
There are way too many casinos and gambling related junk on the server, before I left that was literally all there was - casinos and casino licences.
Users who do that are removed from the Service. There is no evidence of this ever happening. Stop using it as a point to your argument.

Can't you think of a better argument? No matter what bull shit you think of, casinos in a roleplay server that there is no way of cashing-out the ingame currency for real-life funds is perfectly fine. You keep on mentioning that there is a way of cashing-out that money, well the community does not support such action in any way and if anyone ever tries doing so I bet he will instantly get removed from the service permanently.

I agree that there is way too much gambling on the server and that needs to be addressed, but its not illegal. You cannot cash out therefore it is not gambling. If it was considered gambling, CSGO lootboxes, Apex Packs, TF2 boxes etcetc would all be illegal.

No its no perfectly fine. It may not be a legality issue, however morally it is completely wrong. The fact that this in-game roleplay is open to people underage of 18 and 16 is not right. There definitely should be some sort of regulation over the way casinos are ran in game. There should be a way for people to either stop or be stopped from gambling in the casinos. Some people may be spending ridiculous amounts of money on money packs to fund their habit of playing these games on the server and this habit may carry further on into the real world where they will face real problems. It's just morally and ethically wrong to have casinos ran by young people and open to more young people without any sort of regulation or system.

Don't get me wrong. I do think there should be restrictions, but just call it what it is.

If you think it's illegal to gamble on a Gmod server you're straight up dumb.
An example would be what EA have done in Belgium. They removed FIFA points to buy packs on FIFA, however you can still buy packs with ingame currency because you earn the currency from playing the game.

Everyone needs to be honest with themselves and say how they really feel. I want casinos banned because I don't like Joe Joe and Forgee. We all are thinking the same thing so stop pretending we are fighting to stop "gambling addition" or "children gambling." If we make a rule that everyone was allowed to make casinos expect for Joe Joe and Forgee, I think that would solve the issue. They are the real problem, not casinos.

It’s mainly that casinos are the only form of ‘RP’ that happens now.
You should not be able to gamble if you aren’t 18 in real life either, facts.
Cry all you want. Wait until you’re of age.

Therefore we don't want any opinions about staff activity as it's a recognised issue and we're in the process of fixing it.
Until something is done about it, as in something that works to get staff back playing and encouraging roleplay and administrating the forums.
I dont see the problem with us giving our opinion, seems to me that people dont like the truth.
I mean being perfectly honest I don't see how people saying "staff are inactive" will help them at all. It's also difficult for anyone outside of the team to come up with suggestions on how to fix this issue, as you quite simply don't know what is going on behind closed doors.
I do agree that maybe more open follow up questions could have been asked to let people provide their own opinion, maybe even an open question at the end where people are free to voice any further suggestions they have.
Well they are too arrogant and too inconsiderate to just start playing off their own back, so people have voiced their opinion.
I mean you went on strike as a developer, so why cant we voice our opinion. Atleast, we arent boycotting the server.
I mean hey, if you want to feel like you're actually doing something useful then by all means continue trying to "voice your opinion". The truth is it'll likely be more useful if you instead shout into a brick wall, as that way you're not wasting the teams time by telling them something that they know and are already acting upon. It's a bit ironic how you call them the "arrogant" and "inconsiderate" while you think that telling them "omgg staff are inactive!!!" will help in the slightest? At least the dev strike helped massively improve the Development team, not too sure why on earth you even mentioned that though. If you don't actually know anything that is or was going on, don't try to pretend you do as in the end you're just going to confuse yourself more.
It was actually painful trying to deconstruct what you're trying to say there, like what's the entire last sentence? How is that related? Feels like i'm trying to read Arny's code (i'm kidding Arny <3).
Funny thing is pollux if you took your time to fucking read all my posts within the v2d thread you would see i picked alot out.
It's just you're too stuck up and arrogant to know otherwise. I would advise not jumping to conclusions.
