the only way it would work is if all the older players came back with the same mentalites they had back then to play on the server and put in as much effort because there is no way a sustainable playerbase will happen with the old gamemodes because there is literally nothing to do if there is no player interaction apart from spawning contraband and weed. 

Furthermore, responses like this just show you have absolutely no intuition of what FL used to be before and what made it good - how are you supposed to revive something you don´t even understand?

But I think before you start understanding FL, you should read about punctuation. I nearly had a stroke reading your post and have considered reporting you for attempted murder.

Regardless of whether or not the FL team is to blame for the current state, at some point it will become pathetic to ask for the old gamemode to be revived all things considered. As they always say: If you want something done right, get some people together and do it yourself.

I mean not to belittle or insult you. I just feel as though your time and effort these past months would have been better spent learning to code GMod gamemodes for yourself. It teaches you a useful skill in this day and age and I suppose you could have been happier overall. I'm sure if you are honest and empathic about your wish for a return of the old gamemode, the devs might even give you an old copy for you to work on, so you won't have to start from scratch.
