an item of soft sweet food made from a mixture of flour, fat, eggs, sugar, and other ingredients, baked and sometimes iced or decorated.
Doesn't say anything here about having Jam or Cream in the cake but us nut-job Brits do it. Obviously to be served with our 12 cups of Tea and Crumpets that we have like all the time....because we are British and all.
