If we can't even find enough mod candidates, how the heck are we gonna have room for another new rank?

EDIT: I know that there are plenty of decent players out there, that aren't acknowledged, however, the team doesn't feel comfortable promoting people they don't know that well. Hence we're stuck in a loop of only promoting friends of staff members. Therefore Trial Mod could be a thing for giving people a chance to prove themselves.
If the trial mod has, let's say 2-4 weeks trial, perhaps we could discover members that are a bit more in the shadows, but still want the best for the server and community.
