As far as I am concerned there is two types of steps you can take when considering stealing a car:
Would I do this in real life?----> Yes? ------> Are you sure, this could after all get you jailed for several years----> It is important that I get this car.-----> Steal it. Would I do this in real life?----> No?------> Get the **** away from it.

Wow, I have never really seen this level of derpality before,
