Can't Play CityRP on Mac

Both my friends have macs. (Mac Pro and Macbook Pro)

I downloaded and placed the file for the map in the maps folder.

(steam>steamapps>common>garrysmod>common>maps.)

anyways, something like that. all I know is that is what worked for me on my PC.

When each of them try to join the server it takes forever and when they are almost done downloading all the server files and close to entering CityRP, they get a notification says that HL2 (half life 2) has crashed and then their game shuts down.

I tried everything and cannot fix this problem. I really want them to play!!!!

Did you update the games' contents you got ? (e.g : CSS ; HL2:EP1 ; HL2:EP2)

The error may come from the game itself, you might just wait for the next update.
