There needs to be a certain amount of time or else it is useless. You have to remember it is not just a combat weapon either.
Change your tactics and adapt.

How exactly can you "change your tactics and adapt" to a weapon which, with 1 hit, can turn you into a useless, exposed potato for half a minute?
