So Kenny and I decided to pull a practical joke on my Steam friends (Kenny was 'round my house at the time). We put a non-Steam game (Sims 3) onto Steam and renamed it "Black Mesa: Source Beta" (it was ingenious!).
We then started up the game, and.. well..
[FL] Fallen: how do you get that?
[FL] Sir Raffi: Black Mesa Source beta?
[FL] Fallen: yes#
[FL] Sir Raffi: I was handpicked
[FL] Sir Raffi: I won a contest on their site
[FL] Fallen: So you have to apply for it?
[FL] Sir Raffi: It's over now
[FL] Fallen: When does it come out
[FL] Sir Raffi: We haven't been told that
[FL] Sir Raffi: The winners that is
[FL] Fallen: How many won it
[FL] Sir Raffi: Not sure.. I think it was 20
[FL] Sir Raffi: 10*
[FL] Sir Raffi: 10 people
[FL] Fallen: What do you do in it?
[FL] Sir Raffi: Speedrun contest ;D

[FL] Fallen: I mean what is the whole point in the game

[FL] Sir Raffi: It's a recreation of the original half-life
[FL] Sir Raffi: With all the graphics from HL2
[FL] Fallen: Singleplayer or multiplayer
[FL] Sir Raffi: Both
[FL] Fallen: will you have to pay for it?
[FL] Sir Raffi: Nope ;D
[FL] Sir Raffi: As in the beta testers won't
[FL] Fallen: I meant none beta testers
[FL] Fallen: and beta testers should have to?
[FL] Sir Raffi: Ohwait, no, anyone can get it
[FL] Sir Raffi: for free
[FL] Fallen: So it's not like a mod or anything
[FL] Sir Raffi: It is a mod
[FL] Fallen: it'll cost

[FL] Sir Raffi: Black Mesa Source will be free like other mods

[FL] Sir Raffi: Yeah, but there are quite a few bugs and such
[FL] Sir Raffi: I have to report the ones I find
[FL] Sir Raffi: As well as have fun obviosuly
