Summary:
An officer had pulled them over for speeding. They managed to get away until I encountered them again while impounding their vehicle. When I got out their car, I approached them, and they started to run. I ran after them, then equiped my taser.
While I was pointing the taser at them, they continued to run. Despite the fact I was only briefly in range to actually use it - to my knowledge - it's not allowed to continue running from an officer if you know they're pointing it at you, regardless of what range.
