Building my pc - Gandhi - 06-21-2014 Hey, I don't know too much about building pc's but I put £500 into building one. I have not yet purchased anything because I wanted someone else's input... Thanks. Gandhi RE: Building my pc - Disabled Angel - 06-21-2014 Firstly, 500GB isn't enough. You'll be left with around 400ish after Windows has installed and I'm sure you want more than a few games on your computer installed. Secondly, if you want to play any game on anything more than low I suggest you get a much better graphics card. Something like an NVIDIA GeForce 760 GTX would allow you to run all next gen and current games on high - medium. I don't know why you're intent on a full AMD build, they are generally worse than NVIDIA and Intel just cheaper. If you want to build a nice computer you may as well spend the additional £500, or you'll spend even more when you want to upgrade the current garbage that is that graphics card. Hop onto a website called PC Specialist, I recently got my custom built computer from them. They give you good prices and a 3 year warranty, as well as tell you what parts will be compatible with each other. RE: Building my pc - Barkles - 06-21-2014 What's your maximum budget? I could help you improve it if you want... RE: Building my pc - Gandhi - 06-21-2014 (06-21-2014, 11:39 AM)Disabled Angel Wrote: Firstly, 500GB isn't enough. I found a better deal and forgot to mention it on the list. EDIT: This is also a low budget starter pc that I will be upgrading over the years. I just wanted something that I could work of from the start. I'm not planning on playing games like Battlefield and things like that. It'll mainly be used for source games and rendering things from AE, Blender and C4D (06-21-2014, 11:50 AM)Barkles Wrote: What's your maximum budget? I could help you improve it if you want... My Max budget at the moment is £550 but when I will be putting a lot more money into. I'd rather dripfeed it than go in and by the full thing straight away. RE: Building my pc - GRiiM - 06-21-2014 First things first, have you made this list on PCPartPicker? It'll check the compatibility of your selected hardware. Also have you considered 'acquiring' a copy of Windows from other sources, you'll save £80 that you can spend on hardware... |
