Roleplay decenty, use a lot of /me's and /it's and take time and effort into your roleplay, administrators will eventually notice and you'll be rewarded.

Just to add never ask for them. Try a unique style and it will get noticed. That's why I have 0 in 300 hours.

You get awarded RP points from RPing. Passive RPs (ie shops and etc) are the most common RPs being rewarded.
If you are original, creative and use /me's and /it's properly in the RP then you might get an RP point.
Extra tips:
- Be patient. I didn't get my first RP points till I had 200+ hours.
- Don't RP for points
- Don't ask for points
- Focus on having fun. In the end, having fun is all that matters
