Better Recording - Dermy - 02-19-2014

I've posted a lot of BRs lately and I use gmod video to record footage, but the quality is very poor and the Administrative team find it difficult to get things like names from the bids. Is there any way to improve the quality of these videos or any software you recommend? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Dermy

Tried to use Fraps ?

*Btw I don't recommend to use OverWolf for recording due beta versions of it,*

I've used Overwolf for nearly 3 months now, works perfect.
I'd recommend Overwolf as it's easy to setup, have small upload-ready files and it's free.

Fraps - clear video, uncompressed, but make sure you have enough hard drive space, at 1080p (Won't need this for many videos) I think 5 minutes is 4 gigabytes or more. But it's certainly the best, although it does cost money if you want it...legally *wink*

Very true, but it would be stupid NOT to get it if you have got a Nvidia GPU.

I hate shadowplay. It's probably worse than bandicam.
Automatically records in 1080p and 60fps(double the fps youtube can use)
Video/Audio can get out of sync randomly
No framerate counter? Come on, this is 2014 people.
Honestly trash software.

Also, are you rendering these videos in Vegas? If you are you should get some 720p settings, you're videos could be uploading in 480p or lower.

I personally loved to use to use dxtory, had the best settings and it hardly affected game performance. I'm sure if you did some detective work you could find the best settings for you on dxtory, probably the best video/audio recording software out there.

Currently I am using Fraps, which is good but the videos are huge and it degrades performance by a solid 20 fps while recording, but my computer is powerful enough to handle it and still look good.

Honestly, get dxtory and vegas, you won't regret it.
Have you ever heard of the pirates? I heard they rule the seven seas.
