Speeding Up GMod - GeneralSirens - 02-08-2014 I recently downloaded GMod on my PC, but I find that playing only DarkRP (to test out) made it go to 0-1 FPS, heaven forbid on fearless, plus it always times out when I try to join fearless. Any fixes? EDIT: Images Acer is my External HDD from my old laptop, Gmod However is on the C drive. Also I have only just started using the E: Drive (External) But the current stuff on there is the stuff from my broken laptop. To many workshop items 2. Scan your computer for viruses in safe mode, you may have a virus that is using up CPU 3. To many things running in the background Solution I found Try playing with Steam in small mode - View > Small mode RE: Speeding Up GMod - Trevor Jackson - 02-09-2014 Try other servers. That server may have been experiencing problems. Also do I need to disable the workshop items only? Acer is my External HDD from my old laptop, Gmod However is on the C drive. RE: Speeding Up GMod - Termin - 02-09-2014 I would start by deleting all your addons and trying a server. RE: Speeding Up GMod - DoomDude1 - 02-09-2014 Might want to clean your C drive, since I'm guessing that's where the OS is at. Give it at least some 10GB of room to breathe. RE: Speeding Up GMod - Trevor Jackson - 02-09-2014 Your specs don't list your GPU. What is your GPU? |
