First there was the trademark for Half-Life 3 discovered on a european trademark site

Then after some more digging, a trademark for the Half-Life Lambda was found on the same site

Basically, it means fuck all. Trademarks are trademarks, not a sign of 'impending awesome game hyjng;fjko dlfmgnd'.

Buying a trademark doesn't mean anything, it just means they're buying it before someone else does so it won't get stolen.

A bit of a more substantial and meaningful development, ties in with the trademark filing. Still no idea on a timescale or any other information.
