Close Garry's Mod, delete it's cache Folder and restart it.

I got that problem too. No idea what happened, but all of a sudden everything broke. Gonna install the RP mod, then clear cache and reboot steam. Try that.
EDIT: Where the hell do you find the gamemode, anyway? It isn't on garrysmod.org ;O

I reinstalled gmod fully. Still doesnt work.
