Someone on the server calls a moderator to him and claims player X broke rule xyz, then the moderator bans him straight away for 24h. Did I get it right?

Then, the moderator may request an extension, so 1 day become 1 week, which could make him learn, or not. Some people never learn.
I don't fully get this. So, just throw in those sentences.
