Loading screen freezes - Capone - 10-28-2012
Hello,
Today i tried to connect to the v2d server, but then this problem occurred:
every time i connect to the v2 OR v33 server, the steam loading bar at the loading screen freezes when it is "downloading maps/rp_evocity_v2d.bsp.bz2". The bar saying "loading CityRP" doesnt freeze.

Anyone else having this problem?

I believe the problem may be caused by your not being able to download the map directly.
Try to re-download the map here - http://nimetu.com/fearless/content/extract-first-v2d.zip
Then extract it to Program files > Steam > Steam Apps > <username> > Garry's Mod > Garry's Mod > Maps.

Thank you for the quick response.
I have reinstalled GMod, downloaded the map, extracted the file into c/program files 86x/steam/steamapps/garrysmod/garrysmod/maps, but it still doesnt work.

Are you sure that it isn't trying to download a map/graph?
Sometimes those can take forever to download.

I just had to restart my pc. I really feel silly now

Not fixed for me. Still downloads rp_evocity_v2d.ain file...

You tried Restarting your PC, downloading the file from here and extracting it into the correct folder?

Strange bug, since we don't have the map on our FastDL server.
