Map rp_EvoCity_v2d Won't load! Please help! - mwuk - 12-21-2010
Hello all,
I'm relatively new to both Garry's Mod and RPing, and one of my friends uses one of your servers.
Unfortunately whenever i try to connect to it every goes well, until right after it downloads all the files, when GM complains that the map rp_EvoCity_v2d is missing.
I've tried connecting on multiple occasions, as well as downloading the map and placing it in the Garry's Mod folder, but nothing seems to work.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated, I'm on a Mac, but i should be able to follow any instructions relevant to PCs.

P.S. The complete error message is:
"Couldn't CRC map maps/RP_EvoCity_v2d.bsp, disconnecting"

Did you put the map in the garrysmod/maps folder?

Yep, does it matter if the 'rp' is caps or not? :S

Delete the map file and re-download it here:

Your download might have been corrupted.

Thanks. I noticed on the load screen that the fast download thingy was broken, so i've found all the stuff here: http://fearlessrp.net/showthread.php?tid=610 I'll give it a go and with a little luck, it should work

Sorry for being a pest, however i managed to join, but then lost my connection (after not doing anything for a while due to reading the F1 rules).
Now when i try to join it says something about STEAM Validation Rejected…
Any help would be much appreciated, see you on the servers!
EDIT: Nevermind, it seems to be working now that i've restarted Steam, it wanted to update i think…
