Processor? - Pilot - 04-07-2012
I`m looking into building a computer. 1000 dollars is it. I picked out a GTX 570 and i`m looking into Intel processors. Should I get a:
Intel I7 2600?
Intel I7 2600K?
Intel I7 950?
Intel I5 2500K?
Little help please.

Buy a Intel i5 2500K or just wait for the equivalent Ivy-Bridge series that is coming out this month. I7's are more for video editing/rendering and developing, there effects are pretty close in gaming so not much point in wasting the extra $100. Also I hear the Intel i5 2550K is pretty good too.

I dont plan on getting this computer soon, maybe a few months. But I will be playing CPU demanding games like Flight Simulator X. I will be waiting for the Ivy Bridge.

I recommend the i7 2600k. I have one and it just rips everything I throw at it apart no problem. I also have it overclocked so it wrecks even more running at 4.something + Ghz.
