I see your point, but you can not compare words with rape.
I've heard more than one story of someone getting raped, they never get over it and they will keep thinking about it for the rest of their lives. Some kill themselves.
Racist and Homophobic slurs, yea? That's normal. Most of us use it in everyday speech which is probably why it is allowed.
