Strategic Response Unit - Killjoy - 10-30-2010 Hooah. It has come to my attention, that most people who take SRU classes don't know squat about RPing it. So from now on, I'm going to force all SRU officers to RP their position properly, otherwise risk landing on the blacklist. Step 1: Change your job to Strategic Response Unit or SRU Sergeant. Step 2: Reload all your weapons, select your rifle and lower it. Special units carry heavy weaponry and their power is also psychological - their serious gear and weapons show people that they mean business. Step 3: Report in using your radio, request orders from your Sergeant or the President. If no orders, then you DO NOT GO WANDERING THE STREETS. Secure and stay in Nexus and wait for presidential orders or backup requests from police. In real life, you don't see SWAT, SAS and other similar units walking around enjoying the damn weather if they don't have squat to do. Find this boring? Then change your class or go play Counter-Strike. IF YOU'RE ACTUALLY CALLED TO DUTY: Keep in mind that you're still enforcing the law, thus you have to follow the policing procedure, available in my Basic Police RP Guide. Ah hell with that, I'll just quote. Quote:POLICING PROCEDURE:Only difference is that when the Strategic Response Unit gets called in, they make arrests or kill-shots, you're not dealing with under-aged drinking or minor speeding offenses. This means you have great responsibility and I can assure you I will be a pain in your ass if you FailRP it. Questions? RE: Special Services RP Guide - childjames - 09-24-2011 Is having the regular uniform or a suit on more intimidating? RE: Special Services RP Guide - Rahiro - 11-29-2011 well makes sense^^ thanks just wanted to get sure when I rp as a ssa...thanks ![]() RE: Special Services RP Guide - Dylanco1 - 01-04-2012 To all Donators who wish to be SS learn this guide follow it with your life and guys the presidents safety is your one priority so if a guy is walking into the nexus with a sniper while the head says let him in cuff the guy anyway the president would understand and if the head tried anything he would be demoted RE: Special Services RP Guide - DNB - 01-19-2012 SS is super fun to play, IF the president is good. Too often the president is either way too silent, indecisive or just plain stupid (by stupid I mean very bad spelling, bad decisions like lockdown for no reason et cetera.) I wish the admins or other experienced people would pick the president more often, because albeit a hard job to play well for the president himself, a successfully played one provides an enjoyable RP experience for the whole server (Those who know how to RP at least). RE: [Guide] Special Services RP Guide - Killjoy - 04-26-2012 Sticking thread, as apparently this is being completely ignored. Let me make this clear once and for all: Special Services = tactical unit, same as SWAT, SAS, SRU, QRF and the others. Their primary function is to be a tactical unit, dealing with high risk situations, barricaded suspects, heavily armed criminals, officers under fire, etc operations. Their main function is not to wear suits and protect presidents. RE: [Guide] Special Services RP Guide - The_Alpha_Dog - 04-26-2012 What if I ask the president to help someone in a raid or patrol around the nexus? RE: [Guide] Special Services RP Guide - Warior135 - 04-30-2012 So, Can you have a custom job as a SSA (EG: SAS, KGB etc.) But still RP as the SSA, is that allowed? RE: [Guide] Special Services RP Guide - Enzyme - 05-23-2012 Have a question reguarding SS, if escorting the President, can we use suits or do we have to use standard suit? This goes also for guarding the president in his office.
