Why are people so disrespectful?
He is (was..) definitely proud of his work. He was proud until people telling him it looks like shit and showing off what they have made in a couple of hours. At least come with some suggestions on how to make it better etc.

I'd start with making a skybox. Make the it a little wider too.
It seems like you got the proportions all wrong too. Try placing down a spawnpoint, that way you can see the size of the player.
