Being Homophobic is exactly the same as being racist, sexist, creedist, etc. It's a way for the fickle to dig at people because they're scared. In this case their own sexuality(The people being homophobic NOT the homosexual people.)

I find it stupid for people to pick it out as a "flaw" in somebody. They've gone through ten times more than what these idiots (There is nothing else to call the homophobic fools.) will ever go through. Homosexuals have been strong enough to go against orthodox society and show their true feelings towards whomever they chose.

If anything people should be applauding them for their bravery, not digging at them for being slightly different.

"Nig*a" is a term which means "bro" in todays society. I don't agree with its terminology however, because for hundreds of years black people have fought, and died, to get rid of that word from the vocabulary they were "so" accustomed to. Again, it means "bro" under most circumstances. It can also be used as an insult but that's as far as I am willing to go on the internet.

"Fagg*t" is a word which under todays society simply means "loser", "idiot", or any other derivative. It's an insult which has lost its real meaning for the most part. Just the way the cookie crumbles.

Semantics aside, where I live the word f*ggot is such a generic insult (often used in a harmless manner) that it's homophobic origins aren't ever really brought into question. In a society where it seems to be fashionable to be offended, I think it is genuine progress that the term has lost its meaning as a slur on one's sexuality.
