#1
Hello everyone, you may not have seen me in a while, as I've been doing other things. Now i come to ask for your help Smile

See, i have my laptop in which i would like to install a External gpu using a expressslot.
I am not even sure if my pc has an expressslot, so i would appreciate if you could help me.

I suspect this thing for being an expresslot

If it is something i can connect an egpu to, will it bottleneck a gtx 770?

Your specs would help.

Thanks. anyway, i have no experience with eGPUs but i'd imagine they use a smaller PCIe slot, and that slot picture is way different than a PCIe slot. Is there any rectangular ports on your PC?

No, that is the only port i dont know what is

I've heard something about "Thunderbolt" What is it? And how?
#6
Actually... That slot does look like a Thunderbolt drive. Best off taking your laptop down to wherever sells them and having a look, or buy it, test it, and return it

This should go in tech center.
And I am not familiar with "eGPU's."
#8
So, thunderbolt port > some adapter? (Link one if you know any that could work) > Gtx 770
#9
Yes, but they're very expensive, and come in their own very heavy boxes with PSUs.

Aloha ,

I made some research for you
And basically Nuka said it already:

The slot you circled is a thunderbolt slot which would offer the possibility to support eGPU but adapter for thunderbolt are very expensive:
On a different forum someone had a problem deciding which of the following two kits he should take. I am just sharing
this to let you know about how much money we are talking here:

More help can be found here! This discussion is all about eGPUs, maybe its worth reading it.
I hope you might find a better solution than using eGPUs,
