About the drivers, you should download a program called EVEREST. It tells you all about your PC, and can get you the right drivers. I used it a long time ago on an old PC which didn't have sound drivers, and it worked perfectly.
Thanks for the advice. I will remember this, when I get a similiar problem to the one I just fixed.
