Information
Is weed good for you or bad? Discuss it here.

IMO it's good for you

Weed was made illegal in early 1900's When racism was allowed. They blamed blacks and Hispanics for smoking weed and said that it made them crazy. That is why weed was made illegal

I think that's enough to prove my point. Regardless of how safe all of those people who want to perpetually get high claim marijuana to be, you should really check. Sure, it isn't as immediately noticeably dangerous as say, alcohol or tobacco, but it does have effects, many of them dangerous neurological effects that occur over time. One thing nearly all articles have in common is that long term heavily increases risk of strokes, psychosis, blood brain injuries and other neurological disorders.

Some of those links don't work. And their is no real danger. The only way people hurt them selves is If their paranoid and they stab themselves. My moms a doctor and she said that someone kept calling the police saying something but he was just scared

Links fix'd, firefox screwed in copying.

And how do you KNOW there is no danger? You've provided nothing at all, everything you say is based off opinion. There are over 400 unique chemicals in marijuana, quite a lot of them potentially dangerous. It has been medically confirmed, as detailed in some of the articles, that it causes extreme excess blood flow to the brain for up to a month after smoking, which massively increases the risks of neurological disorders and blood-brain injuries over an extended period of time. You won't notice anything immediately, but it'll mean you are way more likely to end up with a stroke in later life, or something of the kind.

A lot of the links there detail how it leads to poor memory development and even damage over time. As I said, this is a part of the neurological side of things. There are even medical reports on it causes new cases of schizophrenia, and quite often relapses in people with existing cases.

Also regarding the whole inhalation thing... From the NHS, "Some people think cannabis is harmless because it’s a plant, but it isn’t harmless. Cannabis, like tobacco, has lots of chemical 'nasties', which, with long-term or heavy use, can cause lung disease and possibly cancer. The risk is greater because cannabis is often mixed with tobacco and smoked without a filter."

Also there is a lot detailed about how it dramatically increases blood rate and blood pressure, and I've done more than enough biology to know that this can end up being very harmful over time, makes myocardial infarcations (heart attacks) more likely.

Y u anti drug faustine?!

Our founding fathers all grew weed. Queen elizibeth used weed to help her during her period. Franklin d rosevelt took crack before a speech because he had sinus infection. Great people do great things because of weed. I rest my case. Weed wins

All of those examples you just gave may justify medical marijuana, but they don't justify sitting around all day getting stoned out of your mind, causing harmful effects to your body, despite what you would like to believe.

Look, I personally have nothing against weed. I don't smoke it myself, but I'm friends with plenty of people who do smoke it. In fact, I've even dated a couple weed smokers. However, ALL of my friends who smoke it (even my ex-girlfriends), are completely lazy, unmotivated people, who generally feel like crap every day. But I suppose that's all just one big coincidence, right?

If you want to do something good for your body, go running or working out or something. It's a perfectly healthy alternative to relieving stress and making your body feel good.

But that's just my opinion from my own personal experience with people who smoke it. Like I said, doesn't matter to me, but I definitely don't think it's "good" for you, and I believe there are healthy alternatives.

He is a lost cause, lock this topic because he is promoting drugs. My stance for this is: Do what ever you want as long as it only affect's you. And yes you saying: "Drugs cool bro, you be gangsta if you overdose yourself, you be cool madafaka" does affect people.

Are you disturbed? Menstruation is a unpleasant thing and when you get it smoke all the weed you want.

Rosevelt had a medical state which could have been fixed with crack. He used it as a healing tool (legit drug) not to get high.

Long-term marijuana abuse has several negative impacts on the user, including:10

Limiting the brain's capacity to store and retrieve information
Damage to the brain's memory functions, as well as math and verbal skills
Sexual dysfunction and reproductive problems, including irregular sperm and lowered sperm count in men and menstrual and ovulatory disruption in women
Weakening of the immune system
Increased risk of cancer and lung damage
Increased blood pressure and risk of heart attack
Loss of motivation and interest in everyday activities and future plans

This is proven, not based on opinions of a 14 year old.

As a smoker, I look at you and go "GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE" You give us a bad name. You make US look like were brainless zombies and all we care about is Marijuana itself. I only smoke for the fun with my friends, And the laugh and it makes you VERY social. Its a drug that should be recognized as good, But as all drugs, Can be harmful if abused.

And it sure as hell shouldn't be broadcasted by your wannabe ass. I'm ashamed, Honestly i am. If you really do love smoking weed, You'd let YOURSELF know that, And not start acting like its the bloody bible on a internet forum and you need to preach it. Like Faustie said, Over-Use of ANY drug can lead to health dangers. Yes Marijuana is a plant, So its TECHNICALLY natural, But its still a drug that messes with your brain, And eventually it can mess with your brains permanent functions.

But, As i said, If you really do love smoking, You'd stop asking everyone their opinion and making these fucking stupid recipes.

Weed with Tea? The hell?

Take a goddamn bowl, Sit down, And smoke up Johnny.
