Same here, no problems running GMod and FL. Just sometimes low FPS on full server (mostly city part). But BF3 without problems.

Typical laptop specs rolling in: ( all mobile series D; )
Intel core i7-2630QM 2,00GHz - 2.99 (T. Boost)
Nvidia Geforce GT540M 1GB
4GB RAM
550GB HDD
