Racism is just a thing, nowadays, that you just can't cast away by shooing it off. Even if you hate racists - as do I - you gotta learn to accept them existing. If you don't you'll just turn into the same person as they are, something blackdog pointed out very well. It's settled in so badly in this time period you can't just get rid of it by banning it and so you might aswell alow it in a way. If you really want to change racism you gotta start at the source, and that is the mindset of the NEW generation. If you don't learn them on how to not be racist you might actually change something. Completly banning it is a way of doing this but I find it not the best one, allowing a small part of it (in the line of "what's up ma n!gga" where no harm is meant) is better as you learn people that saying racist slurs when not meaning any harm to the person isn't all that wrong. Well if the person it being said to doesn't find it harmfull atleast.

That is because, and I think many of the staff will agree... Personally I hate racism and sexism, I never partake in it and I will continue to not do so. But for some people it enhances roleplay or their experience. I agreed that the community was mature enough to handle it and so far every time I have been on the server other than you people that use it excessively on purpose to prove some unnecessary point. I see it no more than usual. In my opinion terrorism roleplay shouldn't be allowed because its sick that people would want to roleplay something that actually harms people in a real way, not just hurts peoples feelings. But I agree that the option should be there for the best roleplay experience, so instead of trying to force my belief down everyone else's throats I allow them the opportunity to have the enjoyable roleplay experience they desire. I will just monitor it close to make sure that it doesn't offend anyone on an OOC level. But if you get offended in real life, for something someone says in a game. Then I feel bad sincerely, because you will never find a game or community that does not talk in these ways or treat people like this. Difference is we have control to make sure it isn't targeted or personal. No where else do you get that.
Also everyone needs to stop saying that allowing racism/sexism is against freedom of speech. Racism and sexism was built from freedom of speech, not allowing it is disregarding freedom of speech. If you made racism, sexism, guns, swearing anything offensive illegal. Someone would still do it, because it is their right and they believe what they are saying. I think its foolish, weak and cowardly to say such things. But people will say it none the less.
When you reply to a comment I made, I expect you to read it, never have I stated that I was against the rule.
Take a moment, step back and look at your own replies. I also never stated you were against the rule, the arguments you have been making against every post are not arguments. You just sound full of yourself. You have not made a sound argument. Because you are only fighting with yourself. You make a ridiculous accusation on the staff. We show you facts to why it is wrong, and you just go "yeah you don't make sense" why cause we don't agree with you? Get over it haha

The new rules have been discussed by almost every staff member, not everyone agrees with the rules about discrimination being allowed, but we feel it will only allow better RP from the community. Laws may be made against discrimination. By no means are we encouraging ANY player to play as ANY type of discriminatory "person." We have only allowed you to do so if you wish. We've chosen to attempt to step back and allow things to be handled ICly. We will NOT allow players to abuse this rule about discrimination, if you feel the need to be racist towards a black player model, you may now do so. We're not tell you to go scream derogatory language at everyone, in fact, if that's all you plan to do, you'll still be punished, as it is stated in the rule; do not do this to excess or if it doesn’t fit your character’s roleplay.
We've allowed this community the chance to take RP in a different directions, and you're doing nothing but complaining (mostly) about a single rule. Most of you are willing to accept slang, but not a single one of you can tell me why. Slang is still discrimination, I don't care if it's used more in real life instances, it comes from a derogatory term. What's the difference, it all means the same thing.
Back on track here, I'm happy these rules have come into play, players are now able to act ICly instead of having to call an admin for everything. If you get punched, you call the cops or swing back. This is a roleplay server, you're allowed to roleplay deeper now.
