Help me buy a good computer :) - Fultz - 01-05-2015

Hey guys,

So I am in the market of buying a new computer. Problem is I have no idea what I am doing.

Since I dont know what I am doing, I am here asking you guys if someone could potentially help me in this transaction.

Things to know:

I don't know how to build a pc, but is something I can probably figure out if it comes to being cheaper.
I do not want to spend a lot of money on this. I am not looking for a super computer, but a computer that can handle most games. Possibly around a grand max (little leeway there depending).

If you guys can help me out I would be forever grateful.

So the question is, who wants to help me get a good pc?

http://www.logicalincrements.com/ is pretty much the best site around if you're looking for a computer. It's not perfect, and people knowledgeable about building PCs will be able to make their own changes, but for beginners it's a great site.

I'm assuming you know how to put something together, so you save on having it already built for more performance.

It's really easy to build so don't be lazy. This thing is amazingly upgradable and a great value for the money.

Personally I reccomend a I5 4690k with a gtx 970.... Best combo out there for the money atm

If you want a computer that can hold most games, Imma give you a memory tip, Put 64 GBs or ram if you can, and Install all the games you want.

Unless you do video editing on a big scale that's totally uneccisary Tounge 8gbs (2x 4gb sticks) Will be more than enough for more or less every single game and will meet to minimum requirements for every single game that has ever been released on PC, most require no more than 4 Smile

As Barkles said, 8GB Ram would be fine, I mean unless you plan to do 1000 things at once, even 6GB would do. Also I couldn't agree more with the I5 and gtx 970 combination, my mate that and it works perfectly, yet doesn't break the bank.

Check out PCPartpicker and see what you can do, try throw in them two parts then focus a build around them.
